I read one or several chapters about the Great Depression and how it not only affected here in the United States, but all over the world. It sounds like each country/continent was separated from each other like London, Brazil, Africa and South America. It's like one can't move or function without the other.
It did kept them apart, but during this process, Columbia did a smart thing about ration the amount of coffee for the entire world. It was a great loss to burn most of their crop just to stay in business. I hope I'm not sounding racist, but Spanish people in South America always find a way to work things out when things get tough.
I might repeat this, but women in history did have a strong impact during the World War II. The government tell all women to go back to their homes and family. It sounds like they are treating the women as if they were slaves to this country. It wasn't just in keeping the manufacturing plants operating, but kept the sport alive.
As we are now approaching or living in the 21st century, none of us would know what the future holds. In my Philosophy class we were discussing what era might be coming back, but in a different scenario. Now I do see it is forming to be the New Roman Era (please correct me), but this is what I think it might be.

Women in History
It seems women in general were making their presence noticeable from 1450 to 1750. One of the most interesting event was "Nur Jahan, the twentieth and favorite wife of Emperor Jahangir (r. 1605-1627) was widely regarded as the power behind the throne of her alcohol-and opium-addicted husband, giving audiences to visiting dignitaries, consulting with ministers, and even having a coin issued in her name. Women are now making waves throughout history and it included making products or merchandise to be sold as port traders to other countries. The history timeline is changing where women are making slight contributions along the way and in the 21st century are making head waves. It looks as though women are doing most of the jobs that were male dominant. I know this isn't Women in History, but how they have made subtle changes and is now a major impact in today's history.

Silk Symbolism
It sounds the many practical use of silk was broad, but was mainly worn by political, wealth and family status.
I've seen them being used as turbine, wraps, veil showing eyes (women only) and as part of clothing for either men or women. I remember my travels between Egypt, Iran, India and Africa. I was traveling across those countries when I was 14 yrs old and it was fabulous.
I've met a family who's husband worked for the embassy and wears a nice turbine. It made him look proud, confident, and dignified for the position he works at.
I was conversing with a young lady who is getting married. She was discussing how she will use silk as part of her wedding outfit and decorating the area where they will be standing. We continued discussing this in her quarters and I was shunned that I should never be in the same room with a woman to be married. I think that two women speaking in the same room is prohibited even though it is considered as an act of Lesbianism. This is a shameful act not to be shown in public or around family and friends.
I believe silk has its symbol & variations depending which country you may visit.

It had to do with the collapse of the Roman empire, but struggled to regain control of their territory.
The Romans tried to get the entire region back on its feet. There was an attempt to reestablish control of the territory, but failed to revive it. Is there an important component or piece that Romans didn't know how to regain possession. In this time period, women had a right or choice about marriage. One of the aspects was women were considered a slaves to their husbands doing domestic work, but now they disobey the commands from the husband.
I thank my lucky stars that I have general understanding about Religion.
Here's my scope:
Karma was being accepted throughout China as a form of religion and beliefs. It was being announced throughout other regions outside of China. It was a form of spiritual or a ritual when one dies that a soul would reach a certain level before going to heaven. There were variations of sub religion that is common with Egypt, China and was inscribed in the 10 Commandments. These countries believed in their god. God accepts all cultures and countries as his children no matter from what countries acknowledges him. There is to some degree that women to be a part of Hinduism and Christianity. This is a form of equality for women to have an office seat of the group and later acquire a better position within the hierarchy ladder. In early times, women were labeled as domestic help, but now being a part of the religious beliefs and rituals.
Not sure what the rest of you would think or does my interpretations are not valid or needs more clarification.
